Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing things down. Battles are turn-based, and you build a party of four from a wide roster, each with their own quirks and grudges. The writing does a lot of heavy lifting — I found myself reading dialogue I'd normally skip.

Combat rewards planning. Elemental weaknesses matter, positioning matters, and the harder fights force you to actually swap party members instead of leaning on one build. There's a decent auto-battle for the grind, but the boss fights are worth doing by hand.

My one gripe is the menu clutter early on — there's a lot thrown at you in the first hour. Push past it and you get one of the more complete RPG experiences on a phone.
