A week with PWA_allslots

March 11, 2026 · Klaus Bergmann

I didn't expect much from PWA_allslots when I first opened it. It's a small progressive web app — you tap the link and it's just there, no store page, no download bar. But I kept coming back to it during the week, mostly in those dead minutes between other things, and that says something.

The game is a grid puzzler at heart. You clear matching tiles before the board fills, and the controls are all touch: drag, tap, swipe to shuffle. It reads clearly even on my older phone, and I never once mis-tapped because the hitboxes are generous. The little animation when a row clears is the kind of small feedback that keeps you playing one more round.

What impressed me is how well PWA_allslots understands its own scope. It's a five-minute game and it knows it. Progress saves between sessions, closing the tab doesn't punish you, and there's no push to grind. The later levels add timers and locked cells that force a bit of forward planning, which is enough to keep the loop from going stale.

My advice: treat it as a palate cleanser, not a main course. Play it while the kettle boils. As a quick-load, low-commitment puzzler, PWA_allslots is one of the cleaner examples of the form I've tried this year.
