Ironhold Command

Ironhold Command is a strategy game that finally figured out touch controls. You lay out a base, manage a handful of resources, and send squads to take territory on a hex map. Nothing revolutionary, but every piece is polished and legible.

The clever part is the pacing. You can dip in for two minutes to reassign workers, or sit down for an hour and plan a proper offensive. Battles resolve with enough tactical depth that positioning your artillery actually decides things.

It leans slightly grindy in the mid-game, and the tutorial overstays its welcome. Still, for anyone who wants strategy on the go, it's an easy recommend.
